Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use BrewPath.
BrewPath is operated by Maksim Shchutski, a sole proprietor registered in Poland ("we", "us", or "our").
BrewPath is designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary to provide the App.
Information BrewPath Handles
Learning progress and preferences
BrewPath stores information about your activity in the App, such as:
- lesson and module progress;
- completed activities;
- streak and progress information;
- Coffee Tree progress;
- saved lessons and dictionary terms;
- Coffee Challenge progress;
- unlocked content;
- App settings and preferences.
This information is used to provide the learning experience and remember your progress.
This data is stored locally on your device and may be synchronized through Apple's iCloud services.
BrewPath does not require you to create an account.
Purchase information
Purchases made in BrewPath are processed through Apple's App Store.
BrewPath uses RevenueCat to manage purchases, restore purchases, and determine which purchased content you are entitled to access.
Because BrewPath does not use user accounts, RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to the App installation. RevenueCat may process limited technical and transaction information required to manage purchases, including App Store purchase and receipt information.
We do not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Support communications
If you contact us for support or a privacy-related request, we will receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message.
We use this information only to respond to your request and resolve the relevant issue.
Analytics and Advertising
At this time, BrewPath does not use third-party product analytics or crash analytics services.
BrewPath does not display third-party advertising and does not use your information for cross-app advertising tracking.
If we introduce analytics or other data-processing services in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those practices are introduced.
Notifications
BrewPath may offer optional reminders, such as daily learning reminders.
These reminders are scheduled locally on your device. BrewPath does not currently operate a server-based push-notification system for these reminders.
You can enable or disable notifications through BrewPath or your device settings.
How We Use Information
We use information processed through BrewPath only where necessary to:
- provide the App and its learning features;
- save and synchronize your progress and preferences;
- provide access to purchased content;
- verify and restore purchases;
- maintain the reliability and security of the App;
- respond to support and privacy requests;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Third-Party Services
BrewPath currently relies on the following third-party services:
Apple
Apple provides services used by BrewPath, including App Store purchases and, where enabled, iCloud synchronization.
Your use of these Apple services is also subject to Apple's applicable privacy policies and terms.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat provides purchase and entitlement-management infrastructure.
RevenueCat may process anonymous identifiers, technical information, and purchase-related information in order to verify purchases and determine access to purchased BrewPath content.
We do not provide RevenueCat with your name or email address as a BrewPath account identifier because BrewPath currently does not use user accounts.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers such as Apple and RevenueCat where necessary to provide BrewPath's functionality.
We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or a valid legal request.
Data Retention
Information stored locally in BrewPath remains on your device until it is removed by you, deleted as part of App data removal, or otherwise removed by the operating system.
Information synchronized through iCloud is subject to your iCloud settings and Apple's applicable data-management practices.
Purchase and entitlement information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to verify purchases, restore access to purchased content, maintain transaction records, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the relevant request and maintain appropriate records.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may give you rights concerning your personal information, including rights to:
- request information about personal data relating to you;
- request correction or deletion where applicable;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
- lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.
Because BrewPath does not currently use user accounts, much of your learning information is stored on your own device or through your personal iCloud environment rather than in a BrewPath user account.
For privacy-related requests, contact us at: support@getbrewpath.com
Children's Privacy
BrewPath is a general-audience educational application about coffee and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly request personal information from children through user accounts because BrewPath does not currently provide user accounts.
If we become aware that information has been processed in a way that requires additional protections under applicable children's privacy laws, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
International Data Processing
Some third-party service providers used by BrewPath may process information outside your country of residence.
Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, appropriate safeguards are used by us or our service providers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when BrewPath's features, service providers, or data-processing practices change.
When we update the policy, we will change the Last updated date shown at the top.
If we introduce functionality that materially changes how personal information is handled, we will update this policy accordingly.
